What attracted you to 3R when considering job options?
What drew me to 3R when exploring job opportunities were the values the company stands by—Manaakitanga, Kaitiakitanga, and these principles deeply resonate with me being Māori. Having been a part of the company for four months, I appreciate that we not only embrace these values but genuinely live by them. There’s a belief within the company that we walk our talk, and this aligns with my strong faith in Māori culture and Māoridom.
What does a typical day look like for you?
My days at 3R vary whether I’m in the office, processing with the team, or on the road, each day is different. On road days involve bouncing between customer stores, ensuring compliance, or operating at the depot—breaking up car seats, processing paint, or handling paperwork behind my desk. This constant variation keeps my role interesting and engaging.
How would you describe the company culture here?
The company culture at 3R is inviting and warm, creating a beautiful workplace for everyone, regardless of position. This inclusive environment ensures an even playing field, eradicating discrimination between operators and CEOs and having tighter unity within the team. Embracing family-oriented values like the Tuakana/Teina approach.

It’s about the opportunity to open new doors and explore various avenues. While there’s risk factors with anything you do. 3R offers different dynamics and roles, spanning innovation teams, marketing, processing, and area management, providing a diverse work experience.
